 How to use Idli Maker?

1. Measure the rice and urad dal and transfer it to a mixing bowl. Soak both of them together for half an hour.

2. Drain the water from both of them and grind them in a mixer grinder or food processor until it forms a thick batter that sticks to the sides of the vessel.

3. Add salt and mix well to dissolve completely.

4. Transfer this batter into a vessel with a lid and steam it for around 10 minutes or until the batter rises up and becomes fluffy. Remove from heat and let it cool down completely before you proceed further with pressing out idlis from the steamer or idli maker.
